ST. JOHNS HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME - CLASS OF 2019

Bart Acino (Gymnastics, Wrestling, Diving):  Top Ten Finisher in Gymnastics All-Around in '77, 3rd place in All-Around in '78 and '79 All-Around State Champion; Earned All-American Honors in '79; four-year letter winner and Co-Captain in gymnastics at Michigan State University; two-time Junior Olympic National Qualifier; two-time College National Championship Qualifier; 1979 SJHS graduate.

Al Johnson (Wrestling, Baseball):   First Individual State Champion in school history after winning the '66 Individual Wrestling State Championship at 138 pounds; Wrestling Team Captain and MVP, in addition to winning the Regional Championship; Earned a senior year wrestling record of 21-4; taught, coached and worked as High School Counselor during 36-year career at St. Johns High School; 1966 SJHS graduate. 

Rod Lounds (Football, Swimming, Baseball):  Earned 10 varsity letters; Captain of '79 SJHS Hall of Fame Swimming Team; two-time All-State swimmer; '79 Class "B" Individual State Champion in 100 Yard Breaststroke; member of '79 State Runner-Up Medley Relay Team; two-year member of Michigan State University Baseball Team; 1979 SJHS graduate.

Daniel Snyder (Cross Country, Track & Field):  Two-time Cross Country State Qualifier; 10-time Track Conference Champion; seven-time Track State Finalist; two-time Track All-State and three-time Track Academic All-State; '96 Individual State Champion in 800 M Run; '96 SJHS Male Athlete of the Year; 4-time letter winner at the University of Michigan; Big Ten All-Conference and Academic All-Conference; 1996 SJHS graduate.

Anne (Witt) Gruber (Gymnastics):  Set '96 school record in Floor Exercise and '98 school record in All-Around; two-time Lansing State Journal Dream Team Selection; four-time All-Conference; four-time All-Region; two-time All-State and All-American; '97 and '98 Individual State Champion on Uneven Bars; 1998 SJHS graduate.
