Dollar amounts referenced below are estimations based off of previous projects, square footage dollar amounts, and conversations with contractors, architects, and engineers. These numbers do not reflect actual quotes or bids on projects. All costs listed are preliminary and budgetary in nature. They would continue to be finalized upon the passage of a bond as projects are designed in partnership with our school community.

The physical servers for all of our infrastructure currently have an end of service life date estimation of 2029. Storage units currently have no estimated end of service life.
District Copiers - $166,650
In 2025, the district started a 3-year replacement cycle for copiers spending $36,882.03 to replace copiers in 2 buildings. Over the next 2 years the district will spend roughly $60,000 to replace the remaining copiers. On average a copier will get roughly 6 years of life in a school district.
Instructional Technology - $2,525,005
Technology for Student Devices, Teaching Devices and Classroom Multimedia
- Every year SJPS purchases up to 3 grades worth of students devices. On average over the last 3 years this has totaled near $200,000. This past year we saw prices increase nearly 100% due to supply shortages.
- In every SJPS classroom there are 2 screens for students to view on perpendicular walls. The idea behind this is that there will always be a best seat in the house. Over the last 3 years SJPS has committed over $700,000 to replace the components that make the rooms operate in a seamless fashion which included upgrading classroom audio and teacher mics and converting one of the screens to an interactive flat panel to allow an additional dimension of instruction to the classrooms. The second screens run off of a single projector. These projectors vary in age across the district with the oldest being purchased in FY 2017-2018. These projectors utilize bulbs, which are expensive to replace, and the plan would be to upgrade to a laser projector which not only provides a brighter and clearer picture but will last longer and need virtually zero maintenance.
